INPATIENT DEPARTMENT (IPD)

As an in-patient of the M&M Medical Centre, you have the right to receive considerate, respectful and compassionate care in a safe setting. You also have the right to ask your attending doctor to explain your diagnosis and the line of treatment. For seeking admission to the hospital you would need to follow the procedure outlined below.

ADMISSION REQUEST FORM

The request for admission is required to be made on an “Admission Request Form” available with all the consultants and at the Front Office. The consultant recommending admission will make a ‘provisional estimate’ on the performa printed on the forum and authenticate the same with his signatures.

Having received the provisional estimate from the attending consultant, next step would be for the patient/ authorized attendant to get the ‘Admission Sheet’ filled up at the ‘Admission Desk’ in the Main Lobby and sign the authorization for medical treatment

ALLOTMENT OF IPD NO.

Once an admission sheet is approved an In-Patient Department Number will be allotted and the patient/ authorized person will be required to fill up and sign the consent form authorizing medical treatment, administration of anaesthesia and performance of procedures/operations.

CLASSIFICATION AS TPA ENTITLED CASE

As in-patient staking claim to enjoy third party assurance cover would be verified by our functionaries manning the “Corporate Desk”(LINK) and would endorse billing instructions on the admission documents accordingly.

BILLING SHEET

Date, services, rendered and the charges for the same will be recorded in the billing sheet for all fees for consultation, investigations, treatment and food and beverages.

DISCHARGE PROCESS

Process of discharge is initiated after administration/ consultant advice.
On completion of hospitalization a detailed discharge summary covering investigation reports, treatments given and advice on discharge will be provided by the attending doctor.
In insurance/cashless/medico legal cases all records are kept with the hospital, however, a photocopy of these documents and duplicates of Radiological Investigations can be provided on cash payment.
Check Out time is 1200 hours.
Charges for the full day on the day of admission are applicable irrespective of time of Check In.
For up to 6 hours of stay as an In patient, charges of half day would be levied. However, the stay on 6 hours and above up to 24 hours is counted as one day.
It would take approximately three hours to process a patient’s discharge. This includes the preparation of discharge summary, return of unused medicines and consumables, compilation of reports and preparation of bills.
